Forsyth County Schools serves over 33,600 students and is the largest employer in the county with over 4,159 full-time employees and 1,532 substitutes. The district is home to 35 schools – nineteen elementary, nine middle, five high schools, as well as one alternative school for middle and high school students, and a charter non-traditional high school.
